October 4-15, 2002 

  • Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh toured Nunavut, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick on the occasion of The Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
  • In B.C., they visited Victoria, where The Queen unveiled a stained-glass window in the B.C. Parliament Buildings and dropped the puck at a NHL exhibition game in Vancouver.

August 13-22, 1994

  • Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh opened the Commonwealth Games in Victoria and had a private retreat at Twin Island.
  • The Queen visited CFB Comox and Prince George, and The Duke of Edinburgh visited Prince Rupert and the Khutzeymateen Valley.

October 9-24, 1987

  • Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh enjoyed a private retreat in Qualicum Beach before spending time in Vancouver and Greater Victoria, attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting.
  • During this visit, Queen Elizabeth II unveiled B.C.’s new, updated Coat of Arms.

March 8-11, 1983

  • Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Victoria on the Royal Yacht Britannia.
  • The royal couple also visited Vancouver, Nanaimo, Vernon, Kamloops (The Duke of Edinburgh only), and New Westminster during their West Coast tour.

 May 3-12, 1971 

  • Queen Elizabeth II, The Duke of Edinburgh, and Princess Anne visited B.C. to mark the centenary anniversary of B.C. into confederation. They visited Victoria, Vancouver, Tofino, Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, Williams Lake and Comox.

June 18-August 1, 1959 

  • Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh toured all provinces in Canada and attended the opening of the St-Lawrence Seaway. Stops in BC included Golden, Revelstoke, Kamloops and Spences Bridge. They also visited New Westminster, Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo.  

October 20-22, 1951

  • Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh (later Queen Elizabeth II) and The Duke of Edinburgh undertook a coast-to-coast tour of Canada. They visited Victoria and Vancouver.
